Graduation Assessments

GRADE 10 ASSESSMENTS:

The Grade 10 numeracy assessment is required for all students; Grade 10 students must take it this year. The Grade 10 literacy assessment is required for Grade 10 students; only Grade 10 students take it this year. This year’s Grade 12 students do not take a literacy assessment and do not take a Language Arts 12 exam; Language Arts 12 exams are only for students re-writing an exam or completing courses from the old curriculum. Graduation Literacy Assessment (GLA) 10:
The GLA 10 assesses students’ ability to use critical thinking and analysis to make meaning from a diverse array of texts. It also assesses the ability of students to communicate their ideas. GLA 10 is not based on a particular course but on learning across multiple subjects, from kindergarten to Grade 10. To learn more about this assessment, click on the link below:
Graduation Numeracy Assessment (GNA) 10:
The grade 10 Graduation Numeracy Assessment (GNA 10) is a provincial assessment that assesses student proficiency in numeracy. It is a graduation requirement that student will take in the Grade 10 year. GNA 10 focuses on the application of mathematical concepts learned across multiple subjects from kindergarten to Grade 10. GRADE 12 LITERACY ASSESSMENT:

Beginning in the 2020-21 school year, students in grade 12 will complete a Grade 12 Literacy Assessment as part of their graduation requirements.  To learn more about this assessment, click on the link below:
